Lesson 1 of the PowerME™ Vitality Program introduces the program’s principles, structure, and objectives. The central message of this lesson is the importance of proactively maintaining good metabolic health to prevent and reverse chronic diseases.

The program focuses on four key pillars of health – Eat, Move, Live, Connect (COR-4). The ‘Live’ pillar is composed of two elements: sleep and stress.

The program’s design is based on the science of behavioral change and habit formation. It uses a unique Vitality Score to assess metabolic health, and a Heart-Fit Score (VO2 max) to measure cardiovascular fitness.

The program consists of 16 lessons over approximately 26 weeks. The patient is expected to engage by keeping their appointments, complete their action steps (meeting process goals), reading the content, and communicating any concerns or barriers they are facing.
