There will probably be someone in your tribe who doesn’t have healthy habits, has no interest in developing healthy habits, and acts in a way that makes life harder for you.

It is the person who buys the exact type of ice cream that you love, or invites friends over to have a pizza party, or a wants to play loud music while you meditate.

This can be a challenging situation. Typically, these people will push back if you ask them to change. “Just don’t eat it if you don’t want it.”

If you can’t avoid these people, then try to at least meet them halfway. It comes down to finding a compromise.

Set clear boundaries that support your lifestyle change efforts that don’t infringe on theirs. It can be a dance to get this right. Boundaries and communication are key.
