Did you know that simply eating protein will turn on protein synthesis, leading to muscle growth?

With that said, don’t assume that you’re going to get much stronger by adding a few more scoops of protein powder. At some point, your body will convert excess calories from any source, including protein, into storage.

It’s about getting adequate protein, not excessive amounts. You might recall that we recommend consuming 1.5 to 2.0 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight per day.

Of course, the other way you can build muscle is, not surprisingly, by moving your muscles. And depending on how you move them, you can improve strength, size, power, or speed.
