Time-based eating protocols have become popular in recent years because they are both effective and doable for many people.  

Of course, any time-based strategy won’t work unless it’s built on a foundation of whole food.  

We also recommend that you consider any time-based strategy from a long-term perspective. It should be something that you could do for the rest of your life. 

As we mentioned, we frequently have patients who will stack different eating styles together. For example, meal replacements with time-based eating. Or a plant-forward diet with small plates.
