Many of our daily decisions are about costs. What do you need to give up in order to gain something else?

Do you sacrifice sleep so you can get your car to the repair shop early.

Is it better to just grab some takeout so you have enough time finish that project?

Having to continuously prioritize a long list of tasks can become overwhelming.

Yet there are also actions that we perform with little internal debate; where the path forward is clear, even if difficult. We don’t procrastinate. We don’t get overwhelmed.

Why not?

It’s because these are the activities that connect with our core motivation.

Not only does purpose give us energy to perform difficult tasks, it is rejuvenating and restorative for our emotional well-being.
