There isn’t a perfect framework for strength training. People who are competitive in sports that require a specific movement (like darts), may want to perform exercises that isolate those muscles to improve performance for that movement.
Here, our focus is on the basic functional movements that we need for activities of daily living: pushing, pulling, hinging, squatting, and carrying.
These are compound movements, meaning they use many muscle groups including your core.
For all of these exercises, technique is important. We recommend having a trainer or physical therapist watch you to make sure you’re completing the exercise correctly.
