A plant-based eating style is pretty easy to understand. Basically, it means eating a vegetarian or a vegan diet. 

  • Vegetarian. Eat plants, with some eggs or dairy. 
  • Vegan. Do not eat food that contains animal products. 

A plant-forward diet means that for any meal, plants make up the bulk of the food on the plate. Meat, fish, dairy, and poultry is eaten perhaps a few times per week.
